Jenni Kay is a Child and Youth Counsellor and Mental Health Advocate with a passion for working with children and families.
With more than two decades of experience working in children’s mental health (and two teenagers of her own) Jenni brings skill and real-world tools to tackle your toughest challenges.
Her work experience includes training at the Hospital for Sick Children (Crisis Unit and Psychiatry), running a live-in group home for adolescents recovering from trauma, and partnering with the Toronto District School Board to teach school communities about mindfulness and stress management. Her evidence-based workshop program for Arts Express has been attended by more than 75000 students and their families in the Greater Toronto Area.
Using relatable humour and a creative touch, Jenni shares her love of self-expression and communication with kids of all ages.
Jenni lives in Toronto, where she studied at George Brown College (Child and Youth Counselling) and York University (Psychology). You can find her spending time with her kids and her goofy dog. She enjoys growing flowers, aerial acrobatics and a warm cup of tea.
“My approach is playful and compassionate. Kids and their caregivers are doing their best, we all need a little help along the way.”
